No wagging tail to greet me..
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me.
No coaxing bark, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding.
I've put away your bowls and toys
The things you won't be needing.
Yes…I will miss you little friend.
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought my way
The comfort and the pleasure.
And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow
I'm sure there'll be a place for you
In Heaven's sweet tomorrow.

Thank you, Lord, for seeing how weary I am
and letting me rest.
The pain is gone; the peace is beautiful
Your love surrounds me.
I have fought a good fight (I think)
And somehow now at this stage, no matter what the outcome

You're in my thoughts throughout the day and in my dreams at night
I long so much to hear your voice and talk to you again…
And share my thoughts and feelings like we used to way back when
I wish that I could ask you "how're you doing?" and "what's new?"
I wonder if you think of me the way I think of you.
I know you must be happy for it's lovely where you are.
In a land of sunshine…bright…where you can touch a star.
Mom…I miss you laughter…and your cooking…and your touch
The little things we share between us that have meant so much
I better close this message Mom with all the love it brings.
And ask the Lord to send it now upon an angel's wings
And speed it to you in the way the eagle swiftly flies
It seems like only yesterday
You left for paradise.

Embracing him with perfect peace © and all her angels' charms.
Let me lead you to a place where children safely dwell…And
Sunshine warms the meadows fair © and everyone is well.
Linger not, my little child © for love awaits you there. ©
Up above the billowy clouds so free from pain and care.
Leave the past behind you, now © for your Dear Father waits
Longing so to greet you soon…at Heavens' Garden Gates.
