Blessing is a relative
And friend
Whose been so dear
Whose brought love to our empty hearts

Who taught us family values with a kind and gentle touch

A blessing is a "special one" who makes a life still worth living
Who fills sad times with happiness
Whose been so freely giving.
Who we can so depend on in our
Everytime of need
Who makes us wonder where we'd be
Without your constant lead.

God sent an Angel down © to dry the tears and mend a heart. ©
To give a second chance at love © to grant a brand new start, ©
And so He blessed our lives again © with confidence and strength ©
We knew this Angel sent from God © would go to any length
He began be mending spirits © and then dried the bitter tears
He granted that our love would grow © and thrive through coming years
He sent a special someone © who is nurturing and caring
Who's soul was now committed © and whose love was made for sharing.
And so as broken pieces of our dreams begin the mending…
We're blessed now as a "family" © through grace the Fathers' sending.
A bedtime story read in love © a goodnight kiss © your touch
A firm but loving, guiding hand, © those things that mean so much
And now we watch life's mystery © before our eyes unfold.
For LOVE is a special gift from God
That's treasured
More than
Gold.

Since before any of us were born, God planned
for us to share our lives with each other. He
knew exactly how out strengths and weakness
would balance one another, and the depth of
love, understanding, and commitment we would
learn to feel. He knew the richness of our
separate characters would be developed through
the hard times, and that mutual trust and
respect would be born as a result of overcoming
the trial together. He knew that we would
laugh together, and cry together. He knew we
needed each other…to hug, to help, to teach,
to serve…to love.

Each others' true emotion that our spirits now reveal
The richness of our characters though separate and unique
Are special to Our Father whether radiant or meek.
Out of hard times come our true respect and mutual trust
Overcoming obstacles becomes a real must
God knew that we would laugh together…cry together, too
Our need for one another is enough to get us through,
We'd hug, we'd help, we'd teach, we'd serve, through guidance from above
For God ordained our family in a lasting, Heavenly love.
