05374 - DEAR ONLY CHILD
Written by : Margie Starkeã
( 8X10 Print - 0052 )
You are special because you are the
Only one. © God's gift to others were to
Have many but for us it was to have just
You. © You are our beautiful creation we
Fell in love with the very first time we held
You in our arms. © You are everything we
Can dream for and hope for. ©©©
We hope we can do everything for you
To make your life full. © Through the years
We hope you'll always turn to us whenever
You feel lonely. © Because we truly need
Each other. ©©©©
We pray in later years we will be
Your strength and not your burden.
We hope our support will make you
Strong. Dear only child…
You have all of our
Love!
J5088 - EACH CHILD ( TRIPLETS )
Written by : Jill Fantinã
Each child God makes to order
With a love that's sure to please
But an extra special blessing
Is the one that comes
In
Threes!
0174 - FIRST / MIDDLE / LAST
Firstborn child awaited and loved we were scared and nervous
it's true.
Fed too much and changed too often. © Boy! Did we learn on
you
"Special First" © we expected so much © "Perfection" would be
your name.
First and best © above the rest © You kindled our family flame.
When in time © your siblings arrived © you welcomed them just
right.
With little suggestions that got them in trouble…how you
welcomed them just right.
With dismay…many times…you were left in charge © "Watch
now don't let them get dirty."
Did I ever hear you mumble…I never want kids! I was born at the
age of thirty.
Somehow you survived that child/parent role © with happy days
more than a few.
And Dear Oldest Child © "thanks so much for your help" They'd
not have been raised
Without you!
You were the beginning.
Middlechild born betwixt and between © not the first and not the
last ©
You'd be the smartest in every way © You decided that early and
fast.
When the oldest talked first © and the baby cried loudest and you
felt you'd never be heard.
You'd smile and walk out with silent aloofness © convinced that
you got the last word.
A worn-out Mom © and very cross Dad find mischief and messes
abound
The oldest got grounded, the baby got spanked © and you were
nowhere to be found!
It's said…Middle children are the more well adjusted…learn
quickly to take and to give…
Are masters at patience and compromise © tools for the right way
to live.
Dear Special Child © between all the rest © appointed by God
above…
To stretch your arms from oldest to baby
Connecting our family in Love.
You are our perpetuation.
Dearest Baby…You are loved so because while some endings
are said…
Your very presence has made our lives glad.
Born to a house where you were no the first and many a
time…you could expect the worst.
You were teased the most © but caught on fast © you'd always
get your way…you were the last.
You were blamed whenever for everything the baby could always
be found.
But you'd manage to get through it "My Dear Little One"…your
smile was the sweetest in town.
The youngest receives more materially © coming later to man and
his wife.
Some this might spoil © but not so with you © for we taught you
the values of life.
Love and compassion © come from your heart © God's maturity
in you will be…
For no matter your age and how many years pass © You'll still
always be…
Our "Baby!"
You are our happy ending.
J5044 - GOD'S CHILD
Written by : Jill Fantinã
( 8x10 - J2133 )
God in all His tenderness © looked down upon the earth…
Opening the heavens as He sent you down through birth.
Dedicating you in love to always be His own. ©
Sincerely through His promise that you'll never be alone.
Cherished more than words can say © or life could ever bless.
Holding close our precious girl © our source of happiness. ©
In all you do throughout your life…remember in His love…to
Lean on God for all your needs © as strength comes from above.
Dedicate your life to Him © as he has done for you ©
And let Him be The Master over everything
You do!
0046 - HEAVEN'S VERY SPECIAL CHILD
( BOY OR GIRL )
A meeting of the minds was held quite far away from earth.
This is the time and this is the place for a very special birth.
Said the angels to the Lord above…
"This special child about to be will be needing so much love."
His progress may be very slow…accomplishments he may not
show,
And he'll require extra care from all the folks he meets down there.
He may not run or laugh or play,
His thoughts might seem quite far away.
In many ways he won't adapt and he'll be known as handicapped.
So let's be careful where he's sent…we want his life to be content.
Please Lord find parents who will do a very special job for you.
They may not realize right away
The leading role they're asked to play.
But with this child sent from above,
Comes stronger faith and richer love,
And soon they'll know the privilege given,
Is caring for this gift from heaven.
Their precious charge so meek and mild
Is heaven's very special child.
I SEE CHILDREN AS KITES
( 8x10 Print _ 0088 )
I see children as kites.
You spend a lifetime trying to get them off the ground.
You run with them until you are breathless.
They crash and you add a longer tail,
They hit the rooftop…you patch and comfort;
Adjust and teach.
Finally, they are airborne…
But…they need more string.
And you keep letting it out…
And with each twist of the ball of twine,
There is sadness that goes with joy.
Because the kite becomes more distant,
And somehow you know that it won't be long…
Before that creature will snap the lifeline
That bound you together.
And soar…free and alone.
Only then did you know…
You did your job!
0261 - JUST A BOY
Got to understand the lad
He's not eager to be bad;
If the right he always knew . . .
He would be as old as you.
Were he now exceedingly wise
He'd be just about your size.
When he does things that annoy
DON'T FORGET . . . HE'S JUST A BOY.
Could he know and understand . . .
He would need no guiding hand.
But he's young and hasn't learned
How life's corners must be turned.
Doesn't know from day to day
There is more to life than play.
More to face than selfish joy
DON'T FORGET . . . HE'S JUST A BOY.
Being just a boy he'll do
Much you will not want him to.
He'll be careless of his ways
Have his disobedient days.
Willful, wild and headstrong, too
He'll need kindness tried and true.
Things of value he'll destroy
BUT REFLECT. . . HE'S JUST A BOY.
Just a boy who needs a friend
Patience kindly to the end.
Needs a Father who will show
All the things he needs to know.
Take him with you when you walk
Listen when he wants to talk.
His companionship enjoy
DON'T FORGET . . . HE'S JUST A BOY.
0060 - JUST A LITTLE BOY
He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded, the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad can't help him, he stands all alone.
A hit at this moment would send his team home.
The ball meets the plate, he swings and he misses.
There's a groan from the crowd, with some boos and some hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, "Strike out bum!"
Tears fill his eyes, the game's no longer fun.
So open your heart and give him a break.
For it's moments like this, a man you can make.
Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget…
He's just a little boy and
Not a man
Yet!
0061 - LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD
( 5x7 - 05124 )
Once there were two women © who never knew each other.
One you do not remember © the other you call "Mother."
Two different lives shaped…to make your life one. ©
One became your guiding star. © The other became your sun. ©
The first one gave you life…and the second taught you to live in it.
The first gave you the need for love © The second was there to
give it.
One gave you a nationality. © The other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent…the other gave you aim.
One gave you emotion…The other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile…The other dried your tears. ©
One gave you up…It was all that she could do.
The other prayed for a child © And God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me through your tears…
The age-old question through the years.
Heredity or environment-Which are you the product of?
Neither © my darling © Neither!
Just two different kinds of love.
here to give it.
One gave you a nationality. © The other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent…the other gave you aim.
One gave you emotion…The other calmed your fears.

One gave you up…It was all that she could do.
